Our center is one of few centers that use the Smith County Champions for Children Curriculum.  A Champions for Children Curriculum is a lesson plan for teachers to follow that helps the children develop all of their skills.  There motto is “Helping Children Makes Winners of Us All”.  Each level of the curriculum gets more advanced as your child grows.

 Infant I = 6 Weeks – 10 Month Old Classroom:

In our Infant I Room every infant spends time doing the following activities based on the age and individual needs:

Feeding as Needed (at least every three hours)
Diapering as Needed (Checked Hourly)
Brain Development
Motor Development
Cuddle Time
Tummy Time
Music
Sensory Play
Language/Socialization
Outdoor Play
Learning Centers

Infant II= 10-18 Month Old Classroom:

Walkers in our Walker Room are in the in-between stages of leaving the swings and baby beds behind and moving up to playpens, mats, and highchairs.  This is sometimes a hard adjustment at first, but by mid-class the children start getting used to the changes.  Also, our Smith County Champions for Children Curriculum wants the children to start working on learning how to feed themselves at lunch and changing from the bottle to a sippy cup.  Our Walker Room consist of the children doing the following:

Pre-K Classroom:

Mama’s House Pre-K Program is an actual class.  Our Pre-K building is separate from our main building.  This separation helps keep the children on task and focused on learning.  With fewer kids in the classroom than at the public schools, it gives our teacher more one on one time.  The kids learn to be independent and do things for themselves.   The class reviews a different shape, color, letter, and number bio-weekly.  The Pre-K Programs’ routine goes as the following:
